What "ticks you off"?
Make a list of four or five things that "tick you off." Explain why. (Choose significant things that others might experience as well. For instance, your little brother might tick you off, but there is little chance that this annoyance will yield a possible paper topic). It is possible that one of these annoyances can be transformed into an interesting, engaging, and researchable project.

Among the many things that tend to 'tick me off', there are only four that stick out from the bunch. The first thing on my 'pet peeve' list are people who use excessive sarcasm. A few people I happen to know very well, use sarcasm as a means of communicating and most of the time it is difficult to determine whether they're being serious or not. The second thing that 'ticks me off' are flaky friends. It hasn't been the first time I've come across a friend who makes plans to go somewhere, then ditches me when the plans take place; these people get on my nerves very quickly, to me they take friendship as a joke and take time out of my personal schedule to place an ignorant 'prank' like that. Third on my list of pet peeves are bigots. People like these are all over the internet and you alway find at least one making some silly comment somewhere, budding their noses into other people's business and ridiculing it and frankly... It just ticks me off.
