Art Censorship (Final decision)

Artists of all kind receive some sort of criticism, whether it be helpful, admirable or unexpectedly negative. One form of criticism artists are frustrated over is when critics complain of 'showing offensive content." In an artists world, there is no such thing as 'offensive content', because whatever is created on a canvas with paint or a pencil and paper is what we come to call it as self expression. When critics give the red flag on a piece of work written, drawn or otherwise, we the creators become frustrated and at a loss because the way we express feelings or views isn't the same as when someone verbally protests against or for something, it's entirely different. Putting censor bars over great works, 'offensive' or not, is restricting of our rights of freedom of self expression.

Potential research topics

Art Censorship: Art censorship is a big thing among the artist community. Being an artist it is difficult to display a piece of art when it has to have a certain requirement before showing, which often ruins the piece.

Animal Experimentation: Animal experimentation is a growing trend with organizations such as the ASPCA and PETA. The animals are usually tested for medications, and personal products such as make-up and hygienic materials.

Religion: Religion has it's ups and downs, depending on the religion. To me, Religion is there to entertain and give someone something to believe in when they can't rely on themselves to push forward. Being an Atheist, I see Religion being followed mostly by 'bigots' and fanatics, who worship a godly being that doesn't exist and try to force everyone to follow them.

Student expression & school discipline: Growing up in school, expressing one's self is very difficult in the age of 'equality'. Children tend to go to school dressed a certain fashion, wear or own certain items that stand out from the crowd and are criticized for it for being 'different'. Schools and school systems often tend not to take the situation serious and usually stay away from it depending on the situation.

Extraterrestrial life: While meeting a new race of life would be phenomenal, there are its downsides. Meeting a more intellectual race could result in war/ world domination.
